PROBLEM STATEMENT

Over 70% of restaurant customers in the U.S. pay with credit cards, costing businesses around 3% per transaction in processing fees. For an industry with razor-thin margins, this translates into billions of dollars lost each year. Arc3 was created to eliminate this burden by introducing an alternative payment method that allows restaurants to keep more of their revenue while rewarding customers directly.

GOAL STATEMENT

As the product designer on this project, my goal was to craft a seamless, intuitive payment experience that encourages customers to choose Arc3 over credit cards with limited friction in the dining process. This involves translating the founder’s vision into user-friendly MVP apps.

As the Product Designer, I facilitated a design workshop with the founder and team to build a shared understanding of the problem and collaboratively explore solutions.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

In the workshop, we used “How Might We?” exercises to reframe challenges and spark ideas. Together, we generated user flows, journey maps, and customer flows, giving the team clarity on what to build and how the experience should work.

WIREFRAME

I designed wireframes that highlighted the key features addressing the problems identified during the workshop. These wireframes provided a clearer understanding of the proposed solutions while also revealing gaps that needed attention. Through multiple iterations, we refined the design and successfully resolved those gaps.

HIGH FIDELITY

I collaborated with the brand team to define the color palette and typography, ensuring consistency with the overall brand identity. Building on this foundation, I translated the wireframes into high-fidelity designs that brought the product's vision to life.

CONCLUSION

Within just a few weeks of engagement, I helped the team gain clarity on what needed to be built, identified missing steps in the process, and delivered a prototype that the founder successfully used to pitch to investors.
